NordicTrack

NordicTrack 1750 Commercial treadmill - side viewNordicTrack 1750 Commercial treadmill

NordicTrack are a well-known name in the fitness industry. Established in 1975 when co-founder Ed Pauls invented the NordicTrack ski machine in a garage in Minnesota, they have a long track record of innovation.

Since being acquired by Icon Health and Fitness (based in Utah) in 1998, they've gone on to become the top-selling brand in treadmills. The popular T-Series regular wins 'Best Buy' awards and continue to occupy the top spots all around the world - and you don't get those by clever marketing alone.

NordicTrack manufacturing base is in Minnesota, although many of the components for their equipment are made in China and other parts of the world.

NordicTrack also design and manufacture a wide range of popular elliptical trainers, exercise bikes and rowing machines. They were one of the first to bring training software into the game with their innovative iFit system. More recently, they have added video workouts to most of there models so you can run, cycle or row routes from all over the world.

In 2019, NordicTrack combined a virtual reality headset with a game on one of their exercise bikes. VR workouts will soon become the norm on home fitness equipment where you can immerse yourself in a virtual world where the incline and resistance settings can be set by the terrain you're experiencing.

Customer Service Reputation:
Icon Health & Fitness are a large company with many thousands of customer across their many brands, including ProForm. Sadly this seems too much for their support staff as many complain about their slow response. This is a shame, because on the whole, NordicTrack have some impressive kit.

NordicTrack T-Series 6.5s: Rating 7.5/10 7.5 Stars
NordicTrack T-Series 6.5s TreadmillT-Series 6.5s
The entry model in the ever-popular T-Series, the 6.5S is the ideal treadmill for the home user new to running with a budget under $1,000. It's packed with features (including iFit software), has a selection of screens ranging from 7" to 10", one-touch speed and incline settings,

The top speed of 10mph is more than enough for the novice runner and for those long sessions, and an incline of up to 10 degrees will challenge anyone. Go on, try it, ramp up the incline and set the speed to maximum and see how long you can last :0)

One thing to note, the running deck is towards the compact size, so if you're over 6' 2" you may find it a little restricting if you have a long stride length.
