Sunny Health & Fitness
Sunny Health & Fitness are the new kids on the block having been around since only 2008. Yet in that time they've worked their socks off to build a huge range of treadmills, exercise bikes, elliptical trainers and rowing machines. And when we say huge, we're talking around 30 models in each category, and even 64 exercise bikes! We kid you not.
They're based in Los Angeles and Xiamen (China), their machines are made in Taiwan and China (along with the majority of fitness brands.) We initially came across them when reviewing rowing machines back in 2010, but we have to say we were not impressed by the first budget models to come over. But since then, they've made great progress improving quality and reliability while building their range.
Sunny are a large company with over 100 staff (yes that's pretty big for a fitness brand), and many of these are in support - see below.
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
For a company that sells fitness equipment like it's going out of fashion, you'd expect after-sales service to be slow at best. But this isn't the case. Sunny really do pull out all the stops when it comes to dealing with their customers, and we've heard from many who had nothing but praise for the speed of response and willingness to help. Many describe them as 'awesome'! So there you go - proof that some companies really do care about you :0)
Sunny Health & Fitness Treadmills
Sunny have a truly staggering range of treadmills - over 30 at the last time of counting! They start from around $170 for a manual treadmill (but don't bother... really), and go up to $1,800 for a treadmill desk. But the bulk of their models range from $400 to $800 with a number being worth a look as they offer good value for money.
The warranties are a bit of disappointment. All models come with 3-years on the frame (many comparable machines by other brands are at least 5-years or even lifetime). The warranty on parts is even worse at just 3 months - compare that to 1 or 2-years for most other brands. However, the higher priced models have earned a pretty good reputation for reliability and they do offer a 30-day money-back guarantee if you're not satisfied.

Sunny T7515:
Rating
7.0/10
Coming in right in the middle of their extensive range, the Sunny T7515 costs around $600 and for that you get a handsome set of features. It's not got the widest of decks, measuring only 16.5", and the length (49.5") may be a no-go for some. The top speed of 8 mph is not fast enough for sprinters and elite runners, but it's plenty quick for long distance workouts.
The display is LCD and straightforward, while not having the graphics of some of its more expensive competitors, it shows all you need to know about your workout. and comes with 12 pre-set programs including three goal-setting countdown where you set either your objective for distance, time or calories. Other features include speakers, BlueTooth connectivity, heart rate monitor and auto-incline setting, that is, the pre-set programs can select any one of the 12 inclines to increase your heart rate or calories burned to keep you on track.
