ProForm have been on the fitness scene for over 30 years. The brand is owned by Icon Health & Fitness who also have NordicTrack, FreeMotion Weider and Weslo under their wing.
ProForm are often market-leaders, introducing technology and functionality into the fitness world. And as part of Icon, the iFit online training system features in all their equipment.
In fact, ProForm are now offering free fitness equipment if you sign up for 3-year iFit membership. This offers streamed workouts any time of the day, run by a trainer (just like those guys in the Peloton adverts).
For $38 a month (no money down), you get the Carbon T7, but bear in mind, the trainer can control your treadmill's speed and incline! The same deal is available with a rowing machine, elliptical trainer and exercise bike. Quite tempting.
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
"Great machines, terrible customer service!" If we had a dollar every time we heard that... It's unfortunate that a company like Icon with many good brands, seem so poor when it comes to handling their customers. We guess they're lucky they have some great models on offer to placate those who have to deal directly with them.
ProForm Treadmills
ProForm have an impressive range of treadmills. They start at $999, going up to around $2,000. All come with iFit software, a color touchscreen (from 7" to 14" in size), heart rate sensors, and their ProShox Cushioning system that covers the whole running deck. But note. while all machines come with 12-months of iFit family membership, after a year it will cost you $39 a month to continue to use the online workouts - but that still covers the whole family with each able to set up their own profile.
All treadmills are cover by a pretty, good warranty: 10-years on the frame, 2-Years on parts (including motor), and 1-year labor. And as with most brands these days, all models come with a 30-day, money-back guarantee if you not satisfied with your purchase.

The Carbon T10 - what a great name!
The Carbon T10 sits in the middle of ProForm's range costing in the region of $1,500. And for that you get a damn fine machine. The 3.0 CHP Mach Z motor easily and quietly delivers the top speed of 12 mph, and the wide running deck is very comfortable with the ProShox Cushioning.
The large, 10" color HD Touchscreen is perfect for iFit sessions - especially if you're doing one of the many 'outdoor' runs available from around the world.
The handles include grips to measure your heart rate (but not compatible with a chest strap), one-touch speed and incline controls. Other features include speakers and an audio auxiliary port for your SmartPhone or iPod (does anyone still use those?)
