SereneLife
SereneLife Home LLC have a similar set up to MaxKare in that they sell a mix of home appliances and products not necessarily related to fitness. In fact, their fitness range consists of just two treadmills, the rest of their products consist of torches, bicycle helmets and even a portable generator.
So we can safely say they're not a company that are going to be at the leading edge of fitness technology. But they do sell a LOT of their two model range - mainly via Amazon taking up two slots in the top 20 on a regular basis.
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Those who have contacted SereneLife Customer Support report long delays in getting through to a human operator. And when they do, it can take days for anyone to return your call, if they do at all. Not conducive to a 'serene life' you would have thought.
SereneLife Treadmills
SereneLife's current two models are both compact machines with small decks of around 16" x 40". So if you're 6" or more, or find it a bit of a challenge to run on a treadmill, these models are not for you. But despite the low cost, they do come with a surprising specification. But note, the engines are low power and deliver a jogging pace at best at around 6 mph. The warranty is also limited, being 12 months for frame, motor and parts.
SereneLife SLFTRD20:
Rating
3.0/10
Before we start, take a look at the photo on the right, used by SereneLife of Amazon. It's obvious the runner is super-imposed and is not actually running on the treadmill. And if you use the dimensions of the treadmill as a measurement, the woman would be a little over 4" tall. This is to make the machine look bigger than it is, yet it's sold as a compact model? This is a little dishonest in our view.
The deck is small with the belt measuring just 15.7" x 39.3", but if you're on the smaller side and looking to just walk or jog, it's sufficient.
But this is only $320, so you can't expect much. However, it does come with a few useful features such as BlueTooth for a fitness app, and 12 pre-set programs.
But bear in mind, the motor is only 1,0 HP and can manage only 6 mph. This is fine if you want to use it for walking, or a gentle jog, but if you're looking to run for longer periods, the motor would struggle. The LCD screen is not bad, and the one-touch speed buttons are useful. The 3 incline settings are manually selected. The handles have heart rate sensors and you pulse is displayed on screen.
So for the price it has a few functions, but it does have its limitations.
